Optometrist in Johnson City
Dr. Scott Gentry has joined Reeves Eye Institute after 34 Years experience in private practice as an Optometrist in Johnson City. Dr. Gentry adds an extra dimension to our practice and allows us to serve patients with even better care.
Dr. Gentry received his O.D. degree from the Southern College of Optometry. A native of upper East Tennessee, he is a graduate of Science Hill High School. He is a graduate of Wake Forest University and is also a Honorary Alumnus of East Tennessee State University.
Dr. Gentry is a member of the following; ETSU Foundation, ETSU Distinguished President’s Trust, and ETSU BucSports medical staff. He was the 2013 TAOP Optometrist of the Year and formerly served as a member/past president of the Tennessee Board of Examiners in Optometry. He is IAB Board Certified in Therapeutic Optometry.
His wife, Carol, is an educator in the Johnson City school system and they make their home in Johnson City. Dr. Gentry and his family regularly attend First Presbyterian Church in Johnson City, TN.
Dr. Gentry practices within the Institute Clinics daily, performing eye examinations and the evaluation/management for LASIK, Diabetic Retinopathy, Glaucoma, Cataracts, as well as post-operative follow up and support for Institute surgical patients.
